WHAT TO EXPECT

🧭 Introduction to Storyboarding

A quick intro to storyboarding and visual thinking, using simple examples to show how rough sketches can communicate ideas effectively.

✍️ From Idea to Structure

Participants create a short story using a simple framework (who, goal, conflict), then sketch a 6-frame storyboard with key moments and basic visual notes.

Break - 15 minutes

Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided.

🤝 Collaboration & Development

Groups present their work and receive quick feedback on what works and what could be clearer.

WEEK TWO

INTRODUCTION

A practical introduction to camera language and shot design, helping participants turn storyboards into more intentional, cinematic visuals.

Technical Shots

WHAT TO EXPECT

🎬 Understanding Camera Language

Participants explore how framing, angles, and camera movement shape meaning and guide the audience’s attention. The session highlights how visual choices can communicate emotion and story without dialogue.

🎞️ Applying Shot Design

Through guided exercises, participants experiment with shot types, composition, and movement—learning how to build mood, emphasize key moments, and strengthen visual storytelling.

Break - 15 minutes

Healthy snacks and beverages will be provided.

🚀 From Shots to Film Plan

Working together, groups refine their ideas and build a shared visual plan that connects their storyboard to real filming decisions.
