INTRODUCTION
A hands-on introduction to working on a film set, where participants take on crew roles and bring their ideas to life through practical filming.

🎥 Learning the Equipment
Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of camera, lighting, and audio, exploring how each element contributes to a professional-looking and sounding scene. Through hands-on practice, they learn basic camera techniques such as framing, focus, and movement, experiment with simple lighting setups to shape mood, and develop an understanding of capturing clear audio.
🤝 Building the Production Team
Participants work in small groups to form production teams, taking on key roles including director, camera operator, lighting, audio, and performer. Together, they plan how to shoot a selected scene, assigning responsibilities and coordinating their workflow to prepare for filming.
Break - 15 minutes
We will be providing healthy refreshments and beverages
🎬 Filming Test Shots
Using scenes from their previous storyboards, groups step onto a live set to film short test shots. They rehearse and block their scenes, experiment with multiple takes and shot choices, and review their footage to reflect on what works and how it can be improved.
